Clinic Policy
📌 Note: All patients are expected to review and follow these policies. If you have questions, our front desk staff is happy to assist.
1. Appointment Policy
Please arrive on time for your scheduled visit.
Due to emergencies and complex cases, wait times may vary. Delays of 30–60 minutes can occur.
Your patience is appreciated as we strive to give each patient the care they need.
2. Online Booking & Digital Policy
We strongly encourage online booking to save time and keep phone lines free for urgent calls.
Especially for younger or tech-savvy patients, this is the most efficient way to schedule.
Help us create a modern, patient-friendly experience by using our digital services!
3. Medication Policy – Narcotics & Sleeping Pills
We do not prescribe narcotics (e.g., Percocet, Morphine, Tylenol #3) unless related to cancer or palliative care.
If prescribed, you must sign an agreement and undergo regular drug testing.
Medications from outside providers will not be renewed at our clinic.
Violation of this policy may result in discharge from the clinic.
Missed Appointment & Cancellation Policy
No-shows and late cancellations impact other patients’ care.
Charges apply:
$50 for regular visits
$70 for long visits (e.g., Pap tests, physicals)
Please cancel at least 24–48 hours in advance.
This policy aligns with the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) guidelines.
5. Late Arrival Policy
Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late may need to reschedule.
This helps keep wait times reasonable for everyone.
6. Forms & Documentation Policy
Bring all forms (e.g., insurance, disability) to your appointment.
Some forms require a doctor visit; others may take up to 2 weeks.
Fees may apply for forms not covered by OHIP.
Most patients do not qualify for tax disability forms. Please confirm with your doctor.
7. Lab & Test Results Policy
Lab results usually take 2–3 business days.
To discuss results, please book a follow-up appointment.
Reports are not printed due to OHIP coverage limits — we use secure digital messaging.
8. Continuity of Care Policy
For best care, try to see your assigned family doctor.
If unavailable, and your concern is urgent, we’ll do our best to fit you with another provider.
Confirm your clinic location:
2950 Eglinton Ave East, Scarborough
1200 Markham Rd Unit 109, Scarborough
9. Diagnostic Report Policy
Reports (e.g., ultrasound, ECG) are reviewed during appointments.
Reports are sent via secure portal only.
Staff can assist if you have issues accessing your results.
10. Behaviour & Conduct Policy
To maintain a respectful and safe environment for all:
Aggressive, rude, or disruptive behavior is not tolerated.
May result in termination of services at the clinic.
